6 activités à faire seule

What exactly do you mean by taking time for yourself? Does it mean doing something you enjoy once a year, once a month or once a week? Do I have to spend fortunes and take all my time when I decide to think about myself?

I've thought about this. I thought, "What if I set up a little routine to spoil myself this holiday season? "I just want to spend a little time with myself and tell myself that I've been able to give myself the little things that have been good for me. It's going to be easier for me to start over in January.

Here are the 6 activities that will allow me to give myself a little love in my own way:

  1. A little romantic bath with yourself:

I don't know why, but it makes me feel like celebrating my good deeds of the year, while taking care of my skin in a bath with soothing oils. With candles please. The lack of light is felt more and more, that's why I have this great need to illuminate the whole room with this unavailable heat during the cold season.

  1. The grocery store just for you

Am I allowed to be a little selfish? I've decided to plan meals just for me. I have two boys, we often eat the same thing at home. I love to cook, so I want to make smart choices that suit my stomach and my desires. It's a mundane activity that can seem boring and monotonous. But when you do it more for yourself and you're greedy like me, it's a game-changer.

  1. Cooking healthy

I like to put colour on my plate: fresh spices and herbs. I want to try new recipes. The holiday season is the perfect time to create these discoveries that surprise all 5 of our senses at once. I love receiving a new recipe book to explore all the possible and unimaginable flavours.

  1. Rule like a queen over your skin

I admit it, I don't take enough care of my skin. The skin on my hands often cracks in the winter because I don't cream myself often enough. I want to find the right cream to soothe every bit of skin I have. And I'd like to take the opportunity to exfoliate my skin, too, at the same time. A mask with this? Sure, why not. With all this, I'm going to shine brighter than the tree at Christmas.

  1. The nail care right down to my fingertips...

I regularly neglect my nails. They are healthy, but they are always uneven and bland. I rarely take the time to file and colour them. It is an activity that really bores me. I think I'll take a trip to the esthetician's to get my hands beautiful for the holiday parties.

  1. A piece of jewelry just from me to me

I've always loved jewelry. I love the finesse and distinction that comes from wearing a tasteful piece of jewellery. I feel like spoiling myself this year and giving myself a sparkling piece to symbolize my journey for the year ahead. Why not treat yourself to a bracelet with colours that make you feel good? With stones with properties that encourage creativity, calm, circulation, positive energy... I think I want to make this choice for myself. Because I deserve it.

There's no need for endless activities and outings that force us to take to the road in winter. We can just stay at home, as much as possible, and take advantage of our personal space to meditate, to make ourselves beautiful, to dream, to contemplate the landscape outside, to snuggle under the covers with a good book: it's always number one for me. Because we don't take enough time to live with ourselves. I choose to put myself first on my list. And you, do you want to do it too?
